Bubblegum strain is a Indica dominant marijuana strain that was TH Seeds first entry into the seed community back in 1993 and has since gone on to win four High Times Cannabis Cups. It produces a powerful euphoric high that lifts moods and can render users happily couch-locked.
The strain is most often used by those enduring stress, anxiety and mood related disorders; allowing them to find some much needed relaxation time. Due to the Indica traits Bubblegum strain is also good for pain relief and doting sleep upon the insomniacs. It is used by those that deal with eating disorders, like anorexia, and chronic nausea or vomiting.
The strain has also granted users an increase in creative juices along with its lazy Indica properties. Users can expect the usual negative effects when using Bubblegum strain – dry mouth and eyes, dizziness and some paranoia. There are a few that also experience headaches from this strain.
Bubblegum is derived from the Indiana whose genetics are mostly unknown. The only thing we do know is that it was a mostly Indica hybrid. The Indiana Bubblegum strain was an excellent clone strain that made its way to Amsterdam into TH Seeds hands. Many generations of inbreeding later and they were eventually able to produce the stable strain that is so widely known today.
Bubblegum Growing INFO
Bubblegum can be grown both outdoor and indoor, as well as in a greenhouse. It also thrives well in hydroponics. This strain is one of the favorites of growers because of its generous yield. So, if you are not too particular with the strain, but more on quantity, then this strain should satisfy your desires. You do have to put in the work, though. For instance, this plant will have lateral branching. Considering the weight due to its tight and dense buds, then you will have to provide support as well as maintain it regularly.
While it could be grown indoors using soil, the best way to grow Bubblegum Kush indoor is to use hydroponics. Aside from shortening the flowering time, you could also maximize the plant’s yield by employing Sea of Green (SOG) and Screen of Green (ScrOG) methods of growing. The estimate flowering time is around 8 weeks, and by then, feel the excitement as you harvest an estimated 24 to 26 ounces per square meter to fill your jars.
Outdoors, we do not have much information, but we do know it grows well in a Mediterranean climate. The expected flowering time is October and by then, it should be able to produce at least 30 ounces or more per plant.
Bubblegum Kush yields 24-26 oz/ m2 indoors and 30 ounces per plant outdoors.
